Conscious consulting consists of a specific mindset, approach and set of rules to make sure that we deliver real and sustainable value, and positively surprise our clients.

Integrality and manageability
- Start with the ‘why’ and continue keeping the end in mind - ensuring we define value and success clearly and in a way that inspires action – act as a conscience for our clients to hold the line.
- Always consider the context of the topic. Looking end to end at the bigger picture to make sure improving parts benefits the whole.
- Consider effectiveness first, and then works towards efficiency. Doing the right things for the right reasons before doing them in the most optimal way.
- Create manageable steps towards the end goal. Acknowledge that it may not be possible to change everything overnight, and allow for the flexibility of navigating changing circumstances, yet staying on course towards set direction.
Integrity and excellence
- Through our work always make sure that our client is in a place to take conscious decisions – taking an end-to-end (systemic) perspective, weighing short and long-term effects, impact on all stakeholders not just shareholders.
- Strive for excellence at all times and in all areas of our work. Keeping high standards of integrity, morality and leading by example on being open to improvement at all times. For our clients and other partners, for ourselves.
- Be honest about what we can and cannot do for our client. Consultancy can be about anything and everything but one’s expertise cannot – so we focus! Making sure that trust and confidence is justified and we do the things we do really well and therefore add most value to our clients.
- Give clear and unambiguous advice. We are asked because our years of experience in combination with the extensive knowledge and perspectives the client does not have themselves. This comes with the obligation to never mix up the best answer for the client with our own business model.
Inspiration and grounding
- Keep an open mind. We have designed and set up the way we do things in such a way that we are challenged, spar with and build on each other so that advice is always sound from multiple perspectives, fact-checked, diligent and as objective as possible.
- Make it real. Set targets, tracking and steering for delivery of real value within any initiative, and challenge the client on what to measure to raise aspirations far beyond financial results. We measure our own efforts, results and contributions continuously – to ensure we keep true to our aspirations.
- No pleasing. Make sure our client does not get the answer they (think they) want, but the questions and answers and supporting materials they need.
- Take on work only where we see that we can and will make a positive difference. Where we can bring our unique strengths and capabilities to bear, adding real value to the organisation that enlists our services. Avoiding waste of time, money, materials and above all: human energy and potential.
- Human-oriented work, realising that every decision is taken by and will affect people – generating support, buy-in, addressing concerns that are not only rational but not less valid is done with respect and compassion.
- Give honest and substantiated advice in the best interests of our clients, irrespective of our own.
